Words of Wisdom from Brandon Slay, Olympic Champion

The session at the Olympic Training Center started off with World Champion Les Gutches, followed by an inspirational message from 2000 Freestyle Olympic Champion Brandon Slay.  He told the wrestlers there were 5 things you should do if you want to excel at wrestling or most anything in life:
1. Put in the time and commitment
2. Work extra hard
3. Believe in yourself
4. Make good decisions
5. Maximize your gifts

My shortened version in no way gives his inspirational speech justice, but you get the jist. Be sure to ask your son about it!

Happy 13th Birthday Trayton Libolt!!

Started off the morning with a rousing albeit off tune version of Happy Birthday for Trayton on the way to the Olympic Training Center.............followed by a gentle "spanking" line for the birthday boy! What a way to spend a birthday...being trained & drilled by 2 world champions and an Olympic champion!!
